Sweta Shrestha, MPH

Associate Director, University of Wisconsin Master of Public Health Program

Sweta Shrestha is the Associate Director of the University of Wisconsin- Madison Master of Public Health Program. Prior to joining the MPH Program as the Associate Director, she was the Workforce Training Programs Lead for the Mobilizing Action Towards Community Health (MATCH) Group at the Population Health Institute (PHI). There she managed the Population Health Service Fellowship Program, the COVID-19 Response Corps Program, and provided leadership and guidance on public health workforce training and development efforts at the Population Health Institute. She continues to serve as a program faculty for the Population Health Service Fellowship and an advisor for the program.   

Sweta works with MPH program faculty, staff, and students to center communities most impacted by inequities. She has extensive experience leading community engagement, capacity building and systems strengthening efforts globally and locally and brings the perspective and framing into her role.

Sweta is an alumna of the University of Wisconsin Madison MPH Program and got her undergraduate degree at UW-Madison.
