Michael Stevenson, mph
Co-Director, County Health Rankings & Roadmaps, University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute
Michael Stevenson is Co-Director at County Health Rankings & Roadmaps (CHR&R). This team’s work includes What Works for Health (WWFH), a searchable online database that provides community leaders, coalitions, and others with promising strategies to respond effectively to their health priorities. In WWFH, analysts systematically assess, summarize, and rate evidence for policies and programs that can affect health behaviors, social & economic factors, the physical environment, and clinical care.
Prior to joining CHR&R, Michael was the Director of Health Strategy at the City of Milwaukee Health Department where he led large scale planning efforts, advised on public health policy, and analyzed public health data. He has also worked as a Research Associate at a human services research and evaluation organization.
Michael holds a master’s degree in public health from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s Zilber School of Public Health and a bachelor’s degree from Wartburg College.
