Katarina Grande, MPH *

Public Health Supervisor of Epidemiology & Data Science Unit, Public Health Madison & Dane County

Katarina Grande is a governmental public health practitioner currently leading the Epidemiology & Data Science team at the local health department in Madison, Wisconsin. Seeking to drive data to action, her focus on applied public health combines the power of data analysis with data communication to impact decision-making. Her 15-year public health career focuses have included HIV epidemiology, community health, maternal & child health, COVID, communicable disease, and program management—all with a health equity and data justice lens. Globally, Katarina has worked with CDC, PEPFAR, and USAID; locally she has worked for city, county, and state governmental public health departments. She holds a BS in journalism and integrative biology (zoology) from University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MPH from University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
