Sarah Geiger

2012-2014 Cohort

Sarah Geiger received her MS in Community Health (Epidemiology) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her PhD in Public Health Sciences (Epidemiology) from West Virginia University. Sarah worked in the Bureau of Environmental and Occupational Health in Madison with a secondary placement at the City of Milwaukee Health Department. In Madison, Sarah gained new preparedness experience working on extreme heat response, culminating in a manuscript evaluating heat fatalities of summer 2012. She was also involved with the occupational health surveillance program, which allowed her the opportunity to work with several state-level data sets while calculating occupational health indicators.
